Our items make the perfect gift for babies and we want to make it even easier for you to give that special gift. How so? We’ve just added the “send as gift” option to our store!

If you choose to send as a gift, we will send the item directly to the recipient with a handmade card with a message from you enclosed. Your gift will be wrapped in tissue paper, tied with a ribbon and mailed in a bubble mailer. No pricing information will be disclosed. We will send you two photos – one of the finished item itself and one after it has been wrapped.

The small tag on the ribbon reads:
“A gift for your little one from [your name].”

The card is neatly tucked inside the ribbon and includes your personalized message. Card size will vary by the length of your message.

Picture some tourists huddled under a storefront awning trying to keep dry from the rain while inspecting their tourist map. Would you stop and see if they needed help? One young boy did and saved us a lot of angst, time and money. I was so touched by his kindness that to this day I still remember him and try to pass along the kindness he showed to us that day.

We were in Cancun, staying for the first time at a resort off the strip and trying to find our way back.  The trip into the strip was easy enough as we had caught a cab right outside the resort. The way back was another thing all together! We had first tried to take a city bus that we thought would drop us off right in front of the resort but it only looped around the strip. Next, after it started raining we tried to get a cab back but the cabby wanted $70!! We kindly said “no” and decided to find another way back.

That’s when we were huddled under the awning and the boy came up to us and said something in Spanish, which none of us spoke. Seeing a look of confusion on our face he pointed to the map. We pointed to where we needed to go. He said “bus” and pointed to the bus station on our map.

We thanked him and started to head off… in the wrong direction. He came running after us and waved his hand, “follow me!” and led us through the rain for about 5 blocks to the bus station. He even helped us buy our tickets and showed us where the bus was. We were finally on our way home!

This young boy took about 30 minutes of his time to help us out but sometimes all that is needed is a few seconds. So take a few seconds today to do something nice for someone. They may remember it for years!

Someday I hope to have a home office that I can outfit with these amazing items. Right now I work at our kitchen counter and could really use that space back for things like eating! It would also be nice to not have to put everything away each day only to have to pull it out in the morning again.

My little girl had the important task of picking the winners. She took the job very seriously as you can see from the expression on her face. She also wondered why there were pieces of paper in her cookie jar instead of cookies, but I did manage to get her to pick two winners!

Last week we launched our spring catalog…which was the same time that my daughter made her entrance into the world (her timing is impeccable!). Up until this point, most of my creative inspiration has come from my son who is a rambunctious 21-month old and is now trying to adjust to life as an older brother.

Having a daughter is so different. Pink is everywhere, her cry is girly and she already has her daddy wrapped around her little fingers! These new experiences will definitely inspire me creatively (I have at least five new ideas that I’d like to try out ).

With that, I’d like to introduce my brand new daughter Sophia! (She inspired the creation of our cushy wall letters!)
