Mary and I are very excited to announce the arrival of our embe spring creations! We spent the past several months coming up with ideas and enjoyed bringing them to fruition.

Origami + frame = affordable art!

Buying art can be expensive, but if you have a picture frame and scrapbook paper you can create fun affordable art.

This is a personalized piece by creating my name using the alphabet instructions. Great for a baby’s room! The possibilities are endless though with origami-club.com’s great diagram or animated instructions. You could make flowers or animals or even landscapes.

How to make it?

The frame is a 6 3/4 x 4 3/4 from Ikea. The letters were made from 2 x 2 squares. After making the letters I taped them to the background to hold them in place and put the frame back togehter.

The warm weather has me thinking about weddings of all things! I’ll be married 5 years this summer but if I were to do it again I would love to have these as part of my big day.

Request a baby birth greeting from President Obama! With this being a historic presidency I thought it would be a great keepsake to add to Little Peanuts scrapbook. I do have to admit I was a little underwhelmed when it arrived but it’s neat to have none-the-less.

You can also request them for weddings, 80+ birthdays and retirements.

Here’s how you can get one too.

Send a letter to:

The White House
Attn: Greetings Office
Washington, D.C. 20502-0039

Include in the letter:

-baby’s name

-birth date (dd/mm/yyyy)

-baby’s address

-your name

-your phone number

Just make sure you send it within the baby’s first year and that the recipient is a US citizen.
